ACTIVATED CARBON
Siloxanes are widely used in various industrial processes and frequently added to consumer products, which their final destination is frequently wastewaters and/or landfills.
Siloxanes are not decomposed and during the anaerobic digestion they volatilise and remain in the biogas. The combustion of these gases produces microcrystalline silica which leads to the abrasion of the surfaces of the engines, due to the hardness of this residue. Volatile compounds of silica generate a fouling layer in engines, turbines, boilers, etc..., contributing to the deterioration and malfunctions of these equipments.
Siloxanes removal is essential to extend the useful life of the energy recovery equipments.
Atlas Seis supplies activated carbon created specifically for the removal of siloxanes, which the adsorbing capacity is about ten times higher than the impregnated adsorbents.

World Tree Day - 21/03/2015
Atlas Seis celebrated the arrival of spring and the World Tree Day, planting, along with other participants, about 200 trees in the contiguous green space of Estrada de Oeiras.
